Earth Rising II - The Betrayal of Science – is a continuation of the discussion of the future impacts of technology on humanity. The subject matter covered will provide readers a clear understanding of some of the significant impacts of shifting patterns in nature and the actions of mankind in changing the environment and the quality of human life. This book is divided into four major sections which include:
* The cause and effect of climate change and the attempts of the military to control the Earth's environmental systems using new technology.
* The impacts of new technology on whales and other marine life leading to the possible sterility of the seas.
* The cell phone debate and the science behind the controversy is exposed in detail and plain language.
* The future shock of surveillance technologies and the new limits on personal freedom and privacy.
Entering the 21st century we are faced with the most startling possibilities for the enhancement or destruction of the planet. Mankind, through oral and religious traditions scattered around the Earth, has predicted the destruction of the Earth for thousands of years. Now we posses the technology to fulfill the predictions by inadvertently destroying the Earth with our own hands. This book frames the technological information in a way which will stimulate the debate and, perhaps, solutions before prophecy becomes reality.
There's a wealth of information in this book of technology readily available and many that have been implemented because of "crisis or issues" that drive the laws and the world we see today. Worth reading with some Edward Snowden interviews in opening up our eyes on how the gov't sometimes sneak in laws that we see today. The main reason I gave it a 4star instead of 5 is because the format of the book is very repetitive. I guess it could help, on the other hand, to remember all the devices out there.
Nick Begich is one of the most informative technologically informed humans known to man. I believe he would be more popular if he would focus more on weather modification. If Nick and Dane Wigington (an anti-climate engineering researcher) would write a book together it would be phenomenal. I have not completed this book yet, but I believe the depth of research Nick and his co-author James Roderick have put into this book is a for sure eye-opener. Nick cares deeply about the environmental impacts of technology in this book and has many direct quotes from governmental documents as cited in this masterpiece....for example, the implications of active sonar on sea mammals. It is sad to read about, but it is also imperative in order to help salvage all life on planet Earth for that matter. You should purchase this book.
Earth Rising II is a compelling work. The author has a clear understanding of the nefarious forces working in our world today in order to suppress knowledge, technology, and information. He is part of a great movement.
